Hi Everyone. It’s been more than a week since I left New York. And I’m sad to tell you all that I wont be able to play for the next 4 to 6 weeks. I have a stress fracture on my right foot. After going through a series of test in New York and seeing a doctor here in Moscow it was confirmed that I do have the injury on my foot. At first it was so hard for me to accept, I mean I honestly felt that my game was really going forward after my match against Vera. And reaching the quarterfinals of New Haven was a small victory for me. How I wish I could have played few more tournaments before the end of the season,, But sad to say I wont. They’re might be a small chance of playing Moscow but I will take it a day at a time. I might consider playing challenger also, but like I’ve said it all depends on how fast my foot will heal. Anyway I guess I’m fortunate it happened towards the last part of the season. God forbid it could have been worst. I know
with the love and support of my family and friends I will overcome this injury. Thank you all for the continued love and support Everyone. I hope you will be with me every step of my recovery.
I am home right now slowly recovering. The doctors gave me this boot that I have to use for the next three or four weeks. I must admit having them on is like weird and funny. I feel like I’m a pirate. I can’t even go out with it, lol. And it’s just so hard to match the boot with my clothes : ) . I just try to see the humor side of it really. Hopefully when it’s time for the boot to retire, I’ll be able to walk normal again and even wear my clothes again without having problems matching them ;) . I believe everything happens for a reason. I know it hasn’t been a great year but that’ s tennis life. Thank God I have a life outside tennis. The most important thing is I am healthy, sort of ;), my family is healthy, my friends are always there and the fans of course. I couldn’t ask for more right now. Instead of trying to be negative I would rather stay positive at a time like this. For sure I will keep you all posted as my recovery begins.
Before I go special shout outs to my team, sponsors , coach and friends. May God bless each and everyone of you all. I hope to bring you good news in the future. Don’t worry I’m keeping the FAITH : )
Take care Everyone!
With Love,
Anna

Hey Everyone! I know it’s been February since I wrote my last entry. Anyway It has been really tough year for me so far, But here I am still fighting my way up again. I try to stay POSITIVE despite of my results. And I’m also truly aware how some of my fans and supporters stuck with me in times of my mix results, Thank You so MUCH FOR EVERYTHING. You’re the reason why I’m still playing and trying to be the Best that I can be. I’m hoping to turn my season around , just one tournament at a time and definitely one match at a time. Anyway there has been a lot of changes since March. I have a coach now from Spain , He travels with me now, Hoping and Praying that he’ll guide me to the right path, his been wonderful so far.
After Wimbledon I went straight to Sochi for few days. I just want to get away from tennis and try to be myself for a while. Be normal, act normal and just surround myself with positive people. After that well needed rest in Sochi went back to Moscow. When I got here I felt sick for a while, nothing serious. I felt much better last week . And I don’t know if I mentioned this before but my father build a miniature soccer field in our backyard few years ago, He decided to take it off and build a tennis court. He suggested it’s much better to practice here at home and be closer to them, which I totally agree. My coach has been kind enough to fly here and practice here. So far it’s been good. Taking it easy , feeling my shots and my game.
I know it’s only going to be a matter of time and tournament when my game will start to click again. I don’t really want to expect to much from myself. I really want to play and be the best that I can be without putting too much pressure on myself. Well I guess that’s really it for now. And by the way I’ll be starting my US OPEN SERIES tournament in Stanford, then Cincinnati, Toronto, MAYBE New Haven, it all depends how I fair in the first three tournaments ;) and the US OPEN. So again Thank You for your continued support. May God bless each and everyone of you. Special thanks to my Family by the way for there undying Love and support, my friends who’s always been there for me and to my sponsors who’s been really patient enough to be there for me. I hope to bring you more positive news in the future. Till my next entry.
WITH LOVE AND APPRECIATION,

Hi Everyone! It’s my first entry for 2009, I hope it’s still not late to greet you all a Happy New Year! And in few more days its Happy Hearts! Just a quick recap on my previous tournaments , Australian Open was a little disappointing but credit to Jelena she hang in there and came out on the top, Nice to see her play well again. As far as my game it’s getting there just need more matches. Winning the reverse singles today in Fed Cup was also pleasing. I hope to get the kind of confidence I needed for the coming tournaments. After Australia I went home to Moscow and got ready for FEDCUP . As I’ve mentioned it before its always great to play for your country and make them proud. Our team has gotten stronger for the last three years and it’s always nice to see how we Russian players unite when it comes to playing for your country. I thought I wasn’t going to play any singles since Elena and Sveta we’re strong enough to handle the singles.
Guess Our captain had faith in me , it was really a boost for my confidence. Anyway I really worked hard for the past two weeks and practicing with the team was a help as well. I just wanted to see where my level of tennis was and some other stuff that has to be improve.
Last Thursday the team from both countries had a official dinner. We always have this kind of gathering before the Tie. Both teams exchanged gifts, We the Russian gave the Chinese team Russian Dolls. In return they gave as Chinese calligraphy . That was sweet : ). So after the official dinner it was all business on the court, at stake was a spot on the semifinals. We end up beating the Chinese team 5-0. Now were excited to be in the semis against team Italy. It’s going to be tough but we love the pressure ;). May the best team win J. What else is there to talk about ? By the way special shout outs and thanks to my new sponsor I think by now you all noticed I’m wearing FILA and using Wilson racquets. I’m really happy with my new sponsors. I’ve been getting a lot of compliment with my Fila dresses, Thanks for noticing. I really loved the Fila designs , it really suits me well and they’re comfortable. And about the shoes? No wonder Sveta and Kim
kept sliding , they’re really soft and comfortable. I can’t wait to wear the new dresses that I will sport during the coming months : ), I guess you just all have to wait and see. And the Wilson racquet? Well I used them before so no question about there performance : ). Just think of Federer, Lol. Well before I go I just want to answer few questions that my fans asked me for the past few months ,First I couldn’t defend my title in Paris because of the scheduling, I felt that it was just too much for me, Unfortunately I can not defend my title there. And playing three weeks in a row wasn’t a good move either. Just think of it this way, from Moscow to Paris and then to Dubai. Three different conditions. I have to take care of my health and avoid getting injured.
As for playing doubles again?, it really depends, I would love too really, but for now My singles is my biggest priority. I would like to be back in the top ten and stay there for a while. That’s my goal this year. I don’t think I’ll be back on green clay for awhile. I mean don’t get me wrong but playing in Amelia nad Charleston last year was a good experience but I don’t see it happening this year again, we will see in the future ,but this year definitely not. Yes, I have one photo shoot coming up next month, its for a men’s magazine so you better go look for it and get a copy ;). Well I guess that about it for now, Ill answer some of your questions in the future : ). Again Thank you all for stopping by and visiting my website. Thank you for all the support and letters you’ve sent me. One thing I can promise you on my website expect for more exciting features and stories and we will give away prize soon too ;) , So better stay tuned.
Until next time!
Take care and God Bless You All!
Hugs

LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Hi Everyone ! Where to begin? . It’s been a month since my last
tournament and really awhile since my last entry. I know 2008 has been a
tough year for me ,tennis wise. But I just have to learn from it and
look forward to a better 2009.I also know for a fact that all athletes
,including myself, goes through tough times in there career. Loosing is
tough but it’s not the end of the world. You win some, you lose
some . As I’ve said “ Looking forward to a fresher and better 2009
season : )”. After my last tournament I went back home and just did
what a normal girl would do. Spending quality time with my family,
hanging out with my friends , going out to movies and sleeping, a lot ;).
For two weeks I did that.
I was supposed to go to NY for a photo shoot but it was rescheduled.
So instead I went on vacation with my girlfriends to Canary Island. I
badly needed my alone time and just trying to stay positive. I even got
a hair cut before going on my vacation. Some of you might have seen
my new look already on the internet , Even my friend from New York was
so excited to call me and just to say How “Wow” I was in my new
hair style ;). I didn’t even think it would really be a big deal. Well
it was kind of actually , lol. I never had bangs for a long time, I
think I had when I was twelve. I needed a fresh look, something new and
different . After seeing myself in the mirror with a new hairstyle, I
just felt weird, but in a good way : ). Change is always nice, as long
as it’s good ;). Anyway I even surprised my colleagues during an
award ceremony last Monday. As I walked inside the lobby of the hotel
where the ceremony was held know body even
recognized me,lol. They had to give me a second look, Tipsarevic even
said is that you? You look good : ). After a while I’m finally
getting used to the fresh look. My mother even said I look five years
younger. Hopefully with this new fresher look comes with a new fierce
attitude and confidence. I already started training again. I tell you it’s
not easy , My body is aching and I feel very tired. But it’s all
good. No pain, No gain. I pray that my luck will come sooner than I
expected.
Before saying Paka for now, I would like to THANK ALL MY FANS WHO
SUPPORTED ME AND STUCK WITH ME THROUGHOUT THIS TOUGH YEAR. I really
appreciate the nice words and encouraging letter you sent me. I can’t
promise you anything next season but I LOOK FORWARD TO COMING BACK
STRONGER. I would like to Thank my team for everything. Most of all I would
like to THANK God and My Family for giving me the life that I have . I
will remember this year and really learn from it. So I catch up with
you guys later and wishing all the best for the coming holidays! :)
Take Care and God Bless each and everyone of you!
With love,

Hey Everyone! How long has it been since I last wrote an entry? : ).
Well no need to worry because today is going to be an interesting one.
I know you want to know how I feel or what's really going in my
tennis for the past few months. Honestly it hasn't been what I
anticipated but I believe I'm starting to feel better and better as the weeks
goes by. My confidence is getting up there again .Reaching the finals
in New Haven was more than I expected. 3 matches in a row wasn't bad
a t all ;). I just really felt tired in the middle of the second set, I
haven't really recovered from the night match prior to the finals
and plus the fact that Caroline really played well. So I can say I'm
very satisfied with my week, I would like to have won but getting to
finals wasn't even bad. Better luck next time.
My preparation for the US OPEN just peaked at the right time, I look
forward to playing well this week. I will try to take it one match at a
time. I know I had good run last year in the open, And I hope I can do
it again this year, we just have to wait and see ;). Prior to playing
New Haven I had the chance to spend more time with my mother and my
brother Roman while in California. I don't really get to spend much
time with them since I travel a lot. So I took advantage of the
opportunity. We went to Universal Studios in California and I must say my
brother had a great time. We also had the chance to see few good movies from
Dark night to Pineapple Express and lastly Tropic Thunder. I think the
movie was very funny , I heard it got a bad review but still went to
see it . It was worth it. You should all see it , who knows it may put a
smile on your face .
After being with my mother and brother for almost a month and a half
it was time for them to go back to Russia, My brother wanted to come
here in New York but it's not possible, You see every time I play the US
OPEN it's always during the time of his first week of class. He
even begged me if he can come, unfortunately I had to say next time : ( .
Besides my mother told him school is much more important. My father
joined me in New haven and will be here in New York as well. Being here
is like being home in a way. With so many Russians it feels like I never
left home ; )Well I guess that's about it, for now . But Before I
end my entry I just want to say special thanks to my fans who's always
there to support me . I know its hasn't been an easy ride lately but
you always stuck with me and cheered me on. I can't Thank you all
enough. I just hope you'll continue to support me till the years to
come. Take care and God Bless you all!
With love

Hey everyone!
It’s been awhile so I thought I would give you all an update. I just got back from London a couple days ago. As always, Wimbledon was amazing! It’s a dream come true to be part of it. I made it to the Round of 16, beating Stephanie Dubois, Edina Gallovits, and Evgeniya Rodina. I had a long three-set battle with Nicole Vaidisova, but didn’t come out on top. Hard to take, but it happens. I especially love the Grand Slams… which is why I can’t wait for the US Open! I had a good run last year (semifinals). Hopefully I can win a couple more matches and get the big trophy this year!:) Before the Open, I’ll be traveling and playing some tournaments.
Life on the road is crazy, but I get to meet some really nice people and see some beautiful places. Definitely worth it!

Hey Everyone! I know it’s been ages since I wrote my
last entry. In fact I believe this is my first entry
for the year. I hope you’ve been all patient enough to
look forward to my new entry. Where to begin? Happy
New Year to Everyone. Well a lot had happened for the
past four months, Time does fly . My year didn’t
really kicked off well as planned but it’s not too
late yet. Despite of rough times I must say I had a
fair year already as far as tennis is concern. So far
the highlight of my year is winning Open Gaz de
France in Paris. Unfortunately I suffered some few
injuries already after Paris. Despite of what I’m
going through I always try to stay positive no matter
what. I hope to build my confidence and strength
within the next few months, We’ll see how it goes : ).
Before I forget I would like to personally thank All
my fans for remembering my birthday. Thanks to the
wonderful messages you posted and most of all Thank
you for the patience . I know how eager you all are to
hear from me. I just would like to let you all know
despite of not writing a new diary entry I still
manage to find time here and there to read my messages
on my website. I will surely try my best to keep you
updated about my on court and off court activities :
). As some of you may know already I lost in the third
round in Miami and Amelia. What can I say? But to stay
positive and look forward to play much better in the
upcoming tournaments. I’m currently in Charleston for
the first time this year. I actually look forward to
playing here. I’ve heard so many good things about
Charleston from other tennis players. I surely hope I
can play my best tennis here. Wish me Good Luck ; ).
Anyway I really had a hectic schedule in Miami. I
Believed I did four photo shoots . One for French
Tennis Magazine, One for a catalog, I forgot the
third, Sorry, and Lastly one for adidas. I don’t know
when my pictures will come out but hopefully you’ll
get to see them soon, I’m excited myself too : ). Well
I haven’t really done anything special in Miami, maybe
one . The players party I guess. For the record I
didn’t get drunk, I didn’t get loose I just went there
to show some support . And I just wanted to wear the
dress I bought. Be sure to check my Exclusive Red
carpet moment in the Gallery. It’s always fun to dress
up once in awhile. After all where not just tennis
players where also normal young ladies who loves
clothes ; ). Other than the party I just stayed most
of the time in my hotel. By the way You all want to
hear an interesting story in Amelia? ;). Here goes
After I lost third round I decided to stay the
remainder of my week. Two days before I was scheduled
to leave Amelia I dropped off my laundry bag in the
players services. So when I came back the next day
they just said to me casually “ Anna there’s a small
problem, I asked them what happened? They said “We
can’t seemed to find your laundry, it’s missing. I was
shocked. I didn’t really know how to react, my jaw
just dropped. I mean I know it happens once in a while
but with everything so organized in the resort I
would never expect of all things and of all people it
happened to me. And for the record I just got my
clothes in Miami. Most of my tennis clothes were
there. From practice clothes to match clothes. I even
had my personal clothes there, which I just bought in
Miami. My dad’s Laundry was there as well. They said
they were willing to get me new stuff, It didn’t
really made sense. I mean don’t get me wrong but I
only get my stuff every few months, new stuff at
least. They really felt bad of what happened and they
can’t really blame me if I got upset, But what can I
do? Whoever found them and sort of wearing them I hope
they’re happy. Kudos. Anyways I’ll stop here and
continue in my next entry, which will be in a few
days, I’ll tell you bout my road trip and thoughts
about Charleston. Again Thank, you so much for
visiting my website, many new changes are still coming
soon. Always stay tuned . By the way special thanks to
all my fans who wrote me and send me stuff from all
over the world, Sorry for the delay but I will try my
best to get back to you all. Take care and God Bless!

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the long wait , I know it’s been a while since my last entry. Well better late than never ; ). Anyway I’m really relieved that tennis season is over. By far this was the Best year of my young career.! There’s been a lot of first for
me this year, First quarters in a Grand Slam, First Semis in a Grand Slam, First time qualifying in the Women’s Masters and reaching my First Semis there as well and First time in my career to be in the Top Ten and ending the year ranked World number 6. I know there’s more to improve but I’m quiet satisfied how my year ended : ). I look forward to 2008 season and hope to improve my tennis : ) Okay enough with my tennis , Lol, Before Madrid I was able to enjoy some time off and relaxing, I went to see Beyonce’s Concert , What can I say? She was bootylicious and a great performer. She really gave an amazing performance. One last tennis note, I know all of you had known already that my FEDCUP teammates we’re name Russian Team of the Year and I was named Russian Player of the year. Honestly I didn’t expect the award in fact I wasn’t
informed till the speech Ceremony. During the awards I had the honor to sip champagne in the FEDCUP Trophy. It was some experience and a first for me. I didn’t get drunk by the way, For the record ; ). After the Award’s ceremony we went to a club. I think it was just fitting since tennis season was officially over. I’ve read somewhere that I liked going to clubs and
party all the time. To set the record straight not true at all and it’s just normal for a teenager like me to unwind after a hard days work. After all I’m not just a tennis player I’m a normal young lady who just try to enjoy life and make the most of it.
Just to prove it. It’s been two weeks since I touched a tennis racquet and practiced. And I haven’t been to the gym to do fitness. Even though We had one built on the ground floor. I feel I have to start exercising again just to keep my body going. Well at least just my fitness. I wont start training for about two weeks from now. In the mean time I’m just going to take it
easy and make the most of my time off, You know what that means? V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N! Yahoooooo, LOL. I’m just looking forward to it, Spend time for myself, with my family, especially my brother Roman and my friends. I’m very fortunate to have friends who’s not really into tennis. At least we can talk about normal things and get to do normal stuff too ,like shopping ;). I believe that it’s very important to have a balance life. I’m a tennis player and on the other hand I’m
also a normal young lady. Clubbing isn’t all I do when I’m not on the tour Me and my friends also enjoy going to theaters. We just went yesterday and Tonight we might go watch Enrique Iglesias’s concert, I’ll let you know on my next entry if went? Anyway for the time being I just want to enjoy my break and make the most out of it. Before I say my Goodbyes for now I
just want to THANK ALL MY FANS AROUND THE WORLD! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT AND LOVE YOU HAD SHOWN ME! THANK YOU FOR THE FAN MAILS YOU SENT ME! I’LL TRY MY BEST TO ANSWER BACK TO ALL YOUR REQUEST. AGAIN THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I LOOK FORWARD TO GIVING YOU GOOD RESULTS IN THE COMING SEASON! HOPEFULLY YOU’LL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT ME! MY FANS ARE TRULY ONE OF THE REASONS I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING HARD AND ACHIEVE GOOD RESUTLS IN TENNIS AND IN LIFE!
TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
I’ll see you all very soon!
Lots of Love

June 8, 2007 Hi Everyone! I’m really pleased to tell you all ,especially my fans from all over the world, I’m so
touched with the wonderful messages you left me on my website : ). I can’t Thank You all enough for all the support you gave me during the clay court season. I know your all wondering how I am after I played my last match on clay in Paris? My answer to that would be “ Not Bad at all : )”. Before I came to Paris I saw the draw and said to my self I’m ready to give my all for the last and biggest clay tournament of the season. As you all know Grand Slam are harder to play than regular tournaments. All the players are ready,in fact willing to give there all when playing the Slams. Honestly I didn’t really had the confidence I needed coming in to the French Open. But after I played my first two matches I felt my game on clay was getting better and better. I just sort of believed again. After my 3rd round win against Sugiyama, It was kind of funny when the media asked me who I preferred playing in the 4th round, Mauresmo or Safarova? And they even said maybe Momo, since she’s not in good shape right now? I answered , “I think nobody would like to play mauresmo in front of her crowd, believe me, I had that experienced when I play against her in Paris Indoors. The crowd can really be aggressive at times : ). Regardless if she fit or not, Momo in Paris? Good Luck ; ). Well I was fortunate to play Lucie Safarova in the 4th round, I must say that win against Lucie was by far my biggest win during this clay court season. Lucie is a great player. You better watch out because Lucie will climb up the rankings this year : ), Wait and see : ). Anyway after my match against Lucie,I felt really tired and feeling sick , I had a cough . I decided to see a doctor and see how bad my situation was. The doctor gave me a good news that it was just a flu and just needed a good rest . It really came in a bad time, getting sick in my first Roland Garros Quarterfinals : ( .I was off the next and decided not to practice and conserve my energy for the quarterfinals. I stayed in bed all day and drank too many tea with lemon and honey. I know one day of rest wasn’t enough to cure my flu. Well what can I do I had to play a quarterfinal match against Maria Sharapova. She deserved to win that match, I was surprised she didn’t play that well but credit to her. In fairness at 3 all in the first set, I really felt I was out on court for three long hours, that’s how really tired and sick I was. Despite the fact that media said it was an interesting match , it was a little bit funny actually : ).I didn’t get to go around Paris after my loss, I went back to Moscow the next day. Can you believe it, I didn’t go shopping in Paris? : ). Well it was okay I wasn’t feeling well to go shopping anyway. I’ll do it in London : ) . I’m just happy to be home and resting . Now I can say Clay season is sure over for me, Reaching my first Roland Garros was the highlight of my clay season. I know as a tennis player your goal is to play better tennis, go higher and achieve better results. I know there’s going to be more wonderful results for me in Paris and other Slams as the year goes by, its just a matter of time and hard work . For this year my goal is just to reach the top 5. After that I’ll take it one step at a time : ). With a good rest , I look forward to play the grass court season. Holland is going to be my next tournament. But before I say Good Bye for now ,again “ I JUST WANT TO THANK ALL MY FANS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL SUPPORT YOU HAD GIVEN ME, YOU ARE AWESOME !!!!! : ). “ KEEP ON
CHEERING FOR ME!!! Till my next diary entry. Take Care!
XOXO Anna
May 6 , 2007 Hi Everyone! It's was unfortunate I had to retire from my quarterfinal match against Jankovic. It could have been an interesting match.I just really felt a sharp pain on my right shoulder in the middle of the second set and dedicided not to continue: (. I just want to Thank my Polish fans who bought tickets and watched my quarterfinal match, Sorry I couldn't finish the match : (, I hope I can make it up to you all next year : ) . I flew back to Moscow saturday morning. I went to
see my therapist and had my shoulder evaluated. Hopefully everything goes well . Im flying to Berlin monday morning, I really dont want to miss that event since its a Tier 1 and I like the atmosphere there as well. So we'll see how my shoulder holds on ; ). I had a pleasant time in Warsaw despite of my injury. Infact one interesting story I can share was during my autograph session I was asked to do a cooking demo. Believe me I didn't see it coming ; ). I prepared a dessert. I dont know the name but I can say it was something made with dough and strawberry jam filling. I handed them out to the kids, They seemed to loved it or maybe they were just hungry : ). I didn't even know I can cook, lol. I surprised myself, lol.Well so far thats it for me. I hope to bring you interesting news within the coming days. And by the way stay tuned because I'm going to be updating my website ; ). Thanks again for all the support and for always visiting my website! Take care and wish you all the best : )

April 18, 2007 Hi Everyone! I finally got the rest that I needed. I'm so glad to be away on the tour for a couple of weeks. It's always good to be home and be yourself : ). I was able to do a lot of things and enjoy my time off for the last two weeks. Let me start by telling you all how my birthday celebration went. Me and a group of my friends went clubbing to one of russia's famous club. I had so much fun that night.I dance all night , because of that I forgot I had my camera with me and wasn't able to take one picture, can you imagine,hahaha...Anyway one of my friends gave me 99 roses, so nice : ) .The problem was when I got home I didn't know where to put them, since they were 99 of them I decided to place them in my bath tub : ) If you think my problem stopped there? think again, I only managed to sleep two hours that night, I had to leave for sochi the next morning, haha.
I went to Sochi to practice on clay, why Sochi? Well first it was snowing in Moscow that week and the weather in Sochi was warmer and it's next to the sea. Second I just didn't go there to practice I went there as well to see my grandmother, who happened to lives there . I also have a lot of friends there.Lastly I would say it's not that big like Moscow, so it was a good place for me to relax and enjoy my time off. Whenever my schedule permits me I try to go there like 2 to 3 times a year : ). It's only two hours away by plane from Moscow. After a well time spent in Sochi I flew back to Moscow last Sunday to prepare for FedCup. I'm so excited to be part of the team and as always it's good to represent your country : ). Monday I had my first practice with the team, Everything went well and the atmosphere was nice all of us got along just fine. Sorry no dramas allowed : ). Besides we're all friendly with each other. To prove how friendly we are with each other? We all went to see a soccer match today. It was Spartak versus Zenit. We cheered for Zenit sinced they were from St. Petersburg and Kuznetsova was from St. Petersburg as well. It was so loud in the stadium, I liked it! and It was a good match. Unfortunately we had to live when the score was tied at 1 a piece. We didn't want to clash with the fans after the match. You know how it is afterwards ; ). It can get dangerous and crazy : ). So thats what I've been up to for the last few weeks. I'm just getting ready to sleep because tomorrow we have a big day. The Russian team is going to have an official dinner with the Spanish team. I'll tell you more later in the week how that went. In the mean time it's bye-bye for now. Wish my team Good Luck! Thanks again for visiting my website and for all your support! I'll try my best to give you updates whenever I can : ) .Take care and God Bless!!

March 30, 2007 I know it’s been three weeks since I last wrote an entry on my diary, I haven’t really done anything special for the last three weeks, I’m sorry if I kept you all waiting. Well after a disappointing result in Indian Wells, I could have done better, I’m quiet happy with my result in Miami. Going all the way could have been better ; ) , but next time : ). Anyway I was just really tired when I played my semifinals against Justine, Unfortunately I wasn’t 100 percent and she just played great tennis. I tried the best I can but my body just gave in after four straight weeks of playing. Right now I’m just looking forward to go home , rest , be myself and be around my family and friends for a couple of weeks. I’m just really tired physically and mentally. I try to stay positive despite of my lost. Besides I have to get ready since I was chosen to play for Fed Cup. It’s always nice to represent your country : ). I hope to be ready by then, in the mean time I ‘m just anxious to go home and be myself ; ). After my semifinals I was ready to go home , sad to say I still have things to do in Miami. After I lost yesterday My dad took me to dinner and some of his Russian friends here in Miami , by the way he has a lot of friends here, to a Russian Restaurant. I know it’s only been a month but I’m missing Russian food so much and badly wanted to eat some, Lol. So anyway aside from my dads friends their were tennis players as well, Sorry but they don’t want to be named : ). Everybody was having a great time. To finish the night off we even had Russian cake called Ptichie Moloko ( Bird’s milk) It was so good. I wasn’t sure if they made it here or got it in Russia. Either ways it was delicious. Earlier today I had a photo shoot for Tennis Week Magazine. My agent told me the shoot would only take two to three hours to shoot. Well the shoot lasted 5 hours. Since I was so tired I wasn’t able to do my favorite thing in the world today, Shopping. Well in fairness I had fun dressing up, I changed in to four outfits, I loved the last one since it was a Gucci dress : ). I hope my pictures look good in the magazine, well it won’t be out till the June issue. So I’ll let you all be the judge and see how I look in it ; ). Well I guess that’s the highlight of my four weeks in the states. Before I end my entry I just want to say I’m really thankful for all your support, and just to let you all know I do post and leave messages on my website every now and then : ). I also would like to say special thanks to my Russian and Georgian fans for their Love and Undying support. It truly means so much for me. Well till next time. I have a flight to catch tomorrow. And just cant wait to go home and get the rest that I needed. Keep visiting my website1 TC! And TTYL!

March 8, 2007 It's official I'm no longer a teenager : ). As some of you know I celebrated my 20th birthday yesterday. Thank you so much for all the messages you posted on my website. : ). I didn't really had a big celebration here in Indian Wells, We ( my father and my hitting partner)just went out for dinner at a mexican restaurant. I'm planning to have a nice celebration when I go back to Moscow. Can't wait ; ). For the past two days I haven't really done anything special here yet, hopefully when my schedule allows me , I hope to go around the area and see whats happening. I had my first practice last tuesday. Still getting used to the courts and later that afternoon I had another one in a different location. Anyway one of my friends from NY came here to visit me and suport me aswell : ). So yesterday the top 8 seeds had a press conference, I didn't even know I was seeded number 8 till tuesday night. And it's mandatory for the 8 seeds to go for the press conference, by the way you can check my exclusive pictures here on my gallery, hope you like it! : ). After the press conference I had lunch and went back to my hotel for the time being. Since the hotel is just minutes away from the tennis site. I went back at 6 pm. because I had a practiced with golovin. After a busy day I just went back to the hotel ate dinner and got ready to go to sleep. I'm scheduled to play doubles tomorrow with Azarenka. I guess thats it for now, hopefully I will able to do interesting things here when my schedule permits me. Thank you all again for remembering my birthday, I really appreciate all your love and support.!! Hope you keep on visiting my website and keep on cheering for me! Till my next entry, Take Care and God bless you !
Cheers!

February 22, 2007 It’s always nice to be home : ) . I always miss being away from Moscow : ( . Even though it’s cold here, I like it : ) . I look forward to sunny weather though when I go to the US ; ) Anyway after I got back from Antwerp I decide to take four days off from practicing. I just resumed my training today. Playing back to back tournaments can be very tiring. It’s not easy. Well during my days off I got the chance to go swimming in the pool and relax on a Turkish Sauna. One of my favorite things to do : ). I also had the chance to met up with my school friends and hung out. In fact one of them is inviting me to go to the theater this Sunday. Maybe I’ll go, Besides I haven’t been there in two months and it’s always nice to go. Speaking of this coming Sunday, A friend of mine is also celebrating his 25th Birthday. His going to celebrate it in a Georgian Restaurant. For sure I’ll be there, besides “ I love Georgian Food “ : ) . I may have to skip breakfast that day if you know what I mean ; ) . After the weekend I still have few more days to practice after that I’ll fly to the U.S. In case you don’t’ know I’ll be turning 20 on the first day of the tournament: ) No longer a teenager . I haven’t decided what to do on my birthday? I hope it’s not going to be another Mexican restaurant : ( . Don’t get me wrong it’s just that’s where I had my birthday for the last two years, I want something different for a change. I will also throw a party for my friends in Moscow for sure when I go back home. Where? I don’t know yet, maybe go to a club or something ; ), we’ll see. So now you know what I’ve been up to when I’m not playing. I Hope to write more diary entries when I start playing again. I almost forgot Thanks for the messages you sent me! It’s nice to know I have a lot of fans who supports me. Hopefully You’ll keep on cheering for me! Thanks again! Take care ! Cya Later!: )

February 16, 2007 Hey Everyone! I’m sorry for keeping you all waiting. I just never got the chance to write diary entry, I hope the wait was worth it : ). First of all I read some of your messages on my website, Again from the bottom of my heart “ Thank You so Much for all your Support! : ) “ . Hopefully you’ll keep on cheering for me : ). Second I’m so thrilled to be in the Top ten! Well not till Monday”s official ranking, Lol. It hasn’t really sink in yet, maybe After this week : ). It’s really an honor. Anyway I’m so happy to be in the semifinals here in Antwerp. Hopefully I can keep on going : ). I’m really looking forward to play Amelie tomorrow, We’ll see how it goes! By the way I know some of you want to know what I’ve been doing here in Antwerp since the beginning of the tournament, To be honest? Nothing much really, Lol. Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful place but just never had the energy to go out and enjoy the city : (. I’m sort of serious about my tennis and a little lazy to get out, Lol. Besides One thing I was looking forward to go to was the chocolate Factory. You know me, I love Chocolates!! I can eat it all day, hahaha…but sad to say they took Nadia, which I don’t mind : ). Maybe next year when I come back : ) . I think Belgian chocolate is the best chocolate in world. It’s just my honest opinion ; ) . Well I almost forgot after my 1st round match against Eleni last Monday, I attended the Players party. It was nice, and food was great! Can u keep a secret?Just so you all know, the players got a diamond as gifts. Maybe if I play the tournament for the next ten years , I’ll be able to make a necklace out of the diamonds they give , Lol. But 10 years? Who knows , hahaha… After the party I went back to the hotel, I had an early practice the following day : (. Wednesday, Valentines Day! played my 2nd match against Bammer, I was sort of lucky to win that match. Her confidence was really high, besides she had nothing to loose. I’m glad I raised my game when really needed and she just got tired in the end. Thursday I was off did nothing special just the typical routine pracrice, rest, eat, practice, rest , eat, Lol. And yes I was here and left two messages : ). I will post messages now and then : ) So If you think are life is all fun? Think again, Lol. Then early today I played my Quarterfinal match against Nadia. I was really expecting a tough match. I’m relieved I won it in two sets. Besides with Nadia anything is possible : ). She’s really a good player and a fighter. Well what else? I believe that’s it for now. Again Thank You all for visiting my website and reading my diary. As I’ve said I will try to keep you update no matter what it takes! : ). Take Care and God Bless You All! Ttyl!

February 11, 2007 Hey everyone! I left Paris last night for Antwerp. I must say Fridays match against Amelie was a tough one, I’m a little bit disappointed but at the same time positive with my lost. I had so many chances but didn’t took them. Well it was really hard for me to focus because I didn’t just played against Amelie, I played against the Parisian crowd too. It was just a soccer match out there. All can say is I’m looking forward to play her in Moscow for sure ; ). Well before I flew to Antwerp yesterday, as promised, I went f….Lol. I bought a lot of stuff, Hehehe….I cant help it . Besides I’m in Paris, Lol. Anyway Me and my mum had Lunch in a Thai Restaurant . After that we just went back to the hotel and pack my things because I had to catch a flight at night. Well as far as my tournament in Paris, over all it was okay. Off court it was great. In fact I consider Paris as one of the romantic place in the world. The language is romantic, the city is romantic and shopping was lovely, Lol. Hopefully one day when I’ll meet my prince charming, we will get to go back there : ) Anyway I guess that’s it for now . But before I go I just want to say “ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROMAN ! “ Love you! : ) . Thanks again everyone for all your support! Tc!

February 8, 2007 What can I say? I’m just happy to be still in the tournament. Anabel really played very well today. I thought I was going to loose in straight sets. I’m glad I just hung in there. It could have gone either ways. I had some trouble in my shoulder again. I had treatment after my match. It seems to be okay for now : ) . We will see how I feel when I practice tomorrow. About my next match, It’s going to be tough playing Amelie, especially here in Paris. I Know the crowd is going to be behind her, but I hope my fan will be there also just like today. I will definitely give my best for sure. I’m just going to go out there and play my game and hopefully just relax and have fun : ) . I’m excited by the way since it’s my first quarterfinal appearance in Paris : ) . Hopefully it won’t stop here : ) . After my match and media interview, I spent some quality time with my mum, as promised I took her shopping. As for my own shopping I’ll wait till the end of the week : ). I’m going to shop till I drop. After dinner I went back to my hotel room and got a call from a friend in NY. After our talked I called it a night well after I wrote today’s diary entry, Lol. Well its good night for now. Ttyl! Sweet Dreams Everyone! Tc!

February 7, 2007 Bonjour! Sorry it took me awhile to write a new entry in my diary, I’m having difficulties getting a signal in my hotel : ( . Anyway I arrived here last Saturday with my mother. I brought my mum along because I promised to take her shopping, Lol, After all Paris is the fashion capital of the world! You know me I love shopping, hehehe…Going back to tennis, I finally got the chance to practice Sunday. The courts this year seems to be different. I was glad I didn’t get to play my first match till Wednesday. Last Monday The players had a welcome dinner in a Japanese restaurant. The food was really good besides that? Everything else was okay : ) . Tuesday , I had a photo shoot for French Tennis Magazine. I know some of you may have seen the photo already : ) . I hope you liked it? I love it actually. I wasn’t sure when the pictures are going to be publish, Lol. After the whole photo shoot I was filmed by tennis channel, I think, Lol. They actually followed me every where I went that day. I went to a Toy store to get some toys for my brother Roman , It’s his Birthday Feb. 11, Advance Happy Birthday Roman! I love u ! : ) . Anyway I got him some Lego. Which kind? I cant tell it wont be a surprised anymore, Lol. He loves Lego. So the Tennis Channel followed me around, again I don’t know when they’ll show the segment, Lol. Check your local listings. After my off court activities it was back to tennis business. I played my first match today against Olga Poutchkova . I won easily. One things for sure she didn’t play her best tennis. And I think she had trouble adapting to the surface. Next stop for me is Anabel Medina. I have a good record against her hopefully I’ll keep it perfect : ) . Well after the match I was invited by the WTA tour media to participate in their chat. Hopefully I’ll be able to do it again thru my official website, really soon : ). I really had fun , Lol. Besides I didn’t really do anything except just relay my answers and someone types the answers for me. Hehehehe…Well I believe that’s it for now. Again Sorry for keeping you fans for waiting, blame it on bad signal, Lol. Hopefully you continue to support me and my website. Please send us suggestions , pictures ,stories etc. whatever you have. I will try my best to accommodate your request. Just give us time : ). Well gtg right now! Thank you all for reading my diary! I hope to hear from u all soon! Take Care.

January 31, 2007 I’m glad to be home : ) . It’s always nice when you’re just hanging out with your family and friends, especially when you’re away for a while. Anyway I arrived here in Moscow last Friday stayed in the house all the day. Saturday I went out with my friends , I always try to hang out with them whenever I’m home. Besides it’s always nice when your just being yourself with the person who really knows you when you’re still younger , Lol. Sunday I took the day off and just stayed home and spent time with my family , especially my brother : ) , Love u Roman! On Monday I resumed my practice, Yup! That’s my life, hehehe…Don’t get me wrong, I like it! ; ). Ever since I got back from Australia I’m still having problems with my sleeping hours, hehehe…I would get up at 6 a.m, that’s crazyyy, Lol. I’m not really used to it. Well that’s part of tennis life. I almost forgot Monday I went to get a copy of Vogue Magazine, I had 2 photos there, Hope you get a copy : ) . I had that photo shoot after I won the Kremlin cup last year, Can you believe it? After being there in the studio for 3 long hours , I only had 2 pictures in the magazine,Lol. It was a fun experience though, I wouldn’t mind doing it again ; ) . Well I guess that’s it for now. I’m leaving for Paris on Saturday. I hope my fans and supporters will be there to cheer me on. Again I want to thank you all for visiting my website , I know it’s still a work in progress, Hopefully everything will function as my season goes on , Thanks for your patience ; ). Take care Everyone! Ttyl!

January 24, 2007 My last diary entry in Melbourne, Australia: ( . I know a lot of you wanted to know how I felt after the match ? A little bit disappointed at the same time happy with my achievement: ). Maria just played great tennis. It just shows how experienced she is on bigger matches. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take my chances : ( . The match was definitely a learning experience for me , at least I know where my game stands and what I need to do on big matches like this. Despite of my loss I’m still pleased with my result. Reaching my first GS Quarterfinals was really good, I just hope I can go further on other Grand slams and see what happens : ) . After my lost early that day I went out later at night with vesnina and our soccer player friends, whom we’d met here : ). I figured since it’s my last night in Melbourne this year , I’m leaving tomorrow night for Moscow, just wanted to enjoy and have fun with my friends. We went to a good Japanese Restaurant and later on to the casino. Did I gamble? Of course not! Lol. Only my friends. In fact they won some money : ). They said they were lucky because of us, sweet . I really had a good time last night. Anyway as I’m writing my last entry in Melbourne , I’m also getting ready to go out to do some shopping. You know me, I love to shop, Lol. Besides I truly deserve it : ) . I can’t wait to go home in Moscow, I love being home with my family and friends . Hopefully I’ll get to do some shopping there too, Lol. My next tournament will be in Paris. Well I guess it bye bye for now. But before I go I just want to thank you all for taking your time in visiting my website and supporting me during the Australian Open, I’m looking forward to see my fans here in Melbourne next year! Keep cheering for me as my season goes on! Take Care and God Bless you all! Gtg !the stores are waiting for me : ) Ttyl!

January 22, 2007 Hey Everyone! I’ m so happy to beat Patty and so excited to reach my first GS Quarterfinals ?. Playing in the Vodafone Arena was quite an experience for me. It was my first time. I had to adjust from the outside courts and on top of that, I had to adjust on patty’s topspins. It took me some adjustments after I broke her back from 4-2 down, I just went for my shots and played my game. With some help of patty’s unforced errors I managed to win 10 of the last 11 games. I knew I had to give my 200 %, Lol. Anyway after the match I did a lot of interviews. It was very exhausting. All of a sudden I got so much attention ,Lol. It was cool , I’m not just used to the attention ? . I was dead tired when I got to the hotel, Lol. I wanted to stay in my bed but unfortunately I didn’t ?. I had to go back and do an autograph session?. I couldn’t believe the people that showed up for the signing , Cool ?. Anytime for the fans. I’m so overwhelmed with the support I get from the Australian fans! Anyway after the signing I went back to my hotel for a good rest. Well I guess that’s it for now, Sorry I wanted to write more but my hand is just tired and my body is just dead, Lol. I’ll talk to you all later! Again Thank You so much for all the support! Take Care! Bye!

January 21, 2007 Hey Everyone! Ater two days of waiting, I was just happy to get out there today and play :). Beating
Kostanic wasn't really easy. She really gave me some trouble with her dropshots. She improved a lot since the last time I played her in San Diego. After being down 1-4 , I just had to be aggressive and go for my
shots :). I guess it really pays off to hang in there. If she won the second set, It could have been a
different story. Anyway I'm so excite to be in the last 16 of the AO. I will definitely do my best
against patty. I seemed to be drawn with lefties :). We had a tough match in Moscow 2 years ago. I'm a
better player now, so we just have to wait and see ;). Well gtg and have dinner. Thanx for dropping by and reading my diary. I really appreciate your support! Sweet Dreams :)!
Take care,
Anna
January 20, 2007 Hey Everyone! I was scheduled to play 2nd match in court 2 . So I went early today to warm up. Then the
rain came, I decided to go back to the hotel. I'm not really comfortable when theres too many people in the players lounge, Don't get me wrong , I just wanted to relax, lol. I called in the early afternoon if there were changes in the schedule. They told me I was to play first match when the rain stops at court 7. I took the car service and went back to the site. The rain came back again :(. I stayed in the locker room for a while. After getting bored sitting and waiting I decided to go on food trip :) I had a fruit salad , cannelloni, chocolates etc. I think I ate pretty much everything while waiting, lol. If I stayed there the whole night? I would ended up looking like a balloon ready to pop,hehehe...:). I just couldn't stop eating, lol. Lucky for me all outside courts were finally cancelled for the day. I was just happy to go back to the hotel. Anyway I just hope the sky will clear out tomorrow :). we'll see. So it's nighty night for now. Ttyl!
Take care,

January 18, 2007 Hey Everyone! After winning the first set comfortably against Laura I kind off lost my focus in the second
set and lost 7-5. I was was very flat and kind of like that style of game. I'm glad I kept my act together in
the third set and won easily. Talk about a good day! I went to the Players party that same night. I must say
I really had fun :). Me and Vesnina we're both dancing with these cute guys, lol. After that we played pool. I was really excited to just have a good and fun night, after all life isn't just about tennis ;).Tell you all
more in my next entry. Take Care !
Take care,
Anna
January 16, 2007 Hey Everyone! I'm so relieved to have won my first round match against Sybille Bammer. She is such a
fighter! She runs everything down and never gives up. After winning the first 6-4 . I was down 2-5 in
the second set, I told myself I just have to fight harder and win this set and eventually the match. I
didn't really want to play the third set. The weather was just really affecting me, it was just so hot out
there! So after I leveled the match at 5 all ,I just gave my everything. Lucky for me it paid off. I won
the last two games and the match. Honestly I'm still adjusting to the conditions here in Melbourne . The
courts speed aren't the same as Hobart and the ball here bounces higher. Not really into it :(. Hopefully I
get enough practice before my next match on thursday. About todays match ? It was okay that I won. But wasn't really happy with the way I played , I know I just have to work harder and practice more before my next match. By then I hope I'm ready to give some of my best tennis. After the press conference, I had lunch. Then I decided to go back to my hotel and rest. I wasn't really up for anything special, lol. Besides it was so hot to go out, lol. Maybe I'll go out later? If not, tomorrow?,lol, We'll see how I feel after I write this entry,hehehe....When and where? I'll let you all know in my next entry:). Well it's
bye bye for now. Hope you'll cheer for me on my next match. ttyl!
Take care,

January 13, 2007 Hey everyone! I’m so excited to write my first entry in my diary. Now that I got enough sleep, LOL, I can finally get some time to share my trip in Hobart with you. Unfortunately, after the tournament I didn’t get the chance to celebrate my victory or even sleep :( – Lucky for me, I was busy packing my bags for an early flight to Melbourne the next day. it was the only available flight for that day. Would you believe after my friend Jess called and congratulated me from NY, the hotel lights went out!?! There was a black out in Hobart. It went on for 3 hours! I was forced to use the emergency lamp when packing my bags. It only took me till 1:00 in the morning to finish packing. LOL. 3 hours later I was up at 4am to get ready for my flight at 6am. During that time, my friend from Russia called to congradulate me. Well, my win at Hobart is definitely a win worth remembering. Hobart is quite a city, I really enjoyed my stay there. The most memorable part was actually just having dinner out. The city is filled with seafood restaurants – I love to eat lobster – I had it almost every night when I was there, LOL. Overall, I’m just happy to have won my first tournament of the year. I hope I can carry the momentum to Melbourne. I try not to expect too much from myself, I’ll take it one match at a time. We’ll see how it goes. : ) Thank you for reading my first entry. To all my fans out there, THANK YOU for all your support!
Take care,
Anna
